Waffle this weekend!

I found this Waffle recipe in the October 1999 Country Home magazine. I love it! It's simple too. Then the Butterscotch Sauce recipe tops off your waffles. Yum Yum!

You make the batter the night before. So in a large bowl combine the following like you know what your doing. When it's all mixed together cover bowl and place in the refrigerator.

OverNight Waffles
  • 2¼ cups all purpose flour
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 package active dry yeast
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp. cinnamon
  • 1¾ cups milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup cooking oil
Hopefully you know how to use your waffle maker. Now for the Yummy topping.

Butterscotch Sauce
  • 1 ¼ cups packed brown sugar
  • 2/3 cups light corn syrup
  • ¼ cup milk
  • ¼ cup margarine or butter
In a medium sauce pan combine ingredients and bring to a boil. Then reduce the heat and let simmer for about 20 minutes. Serve warm over the top of your waffles.

This is really good and so easy. I hope you try it and enjoy it as much as my family.

Be safe...

The beauty of this recipe is that is just as fast as the frozen kind. But they taste a hell of a lot better. LOL

Here Again

I'm just messing around and wondering if this thing still works. It's been awhile since I've done this. Wish I had never stopped...
